Gardenia Plant

This Gardenia plant features a beautiful glossy green leaves with flower buds. Gardenia flowers are extremely coveted for their amazing scent. *Not all buds may open depending on the growing conditions the plant is placed in. This plant is in ceramic pot with a removable gold stand. The plant has not been potted directly into the ceramic pot to allow for drainage, and is removable.

General Care Instructions: 

• Light: This plant requires a very bright spot to thrive. The plant will not flower well without adequate light and they require at least 6 hours of bright filtered light daily. Gardenias should not be left in direct sunlight for extended hours as this will cause the leaves to bleach out and turn yellow. 

• Water: The soil should be kept moist but not soggy. The soil should never be allowed to dry out as this plant is not drought tolerant.

• Notes: As the flowers die off they should be pruned off with shears to encourage new growth. Flowers may last between 2-5 days. This plant enjoys a humid environment and would benefit from regular misting for humidity and to keep its leaves dust free.
