General Care Instructions:

Light: Citrus plants require a bright spot that receives a minimum of 6 hours of light daily. The light should be bright but not direct to prevent the leaves from burning. Too much light (from natural or artificial light sources), i.e over 12 hours a day, will cause this plant to feel "deprived" and stressed as well! In Winter months in Bahrain (Dec- March) the plant can be kept outdoors as well.

Water: Citrus plants need to be watered on a regular schedule every 7-10 days depending on how dry the soil is. This plant is HIGHLY sensitive to being over or under watered and much care must be given when watering. Only water the plant when the top 2 inches of soil has dried out. Water the plant deeply and allow all the excess water to flush through the drainage hole of the pot. Never leave the plant standing in any amount of water as citrus plants are prone to wet feet and root rot. Do not ever allow the potting medium to dry out completely--this will cause undue stress on the plant.

Humidity: Citrus plants thrive in a humid environment--you may add extra humidity to its surrounding using a humidifier or you can place a shallow tray of pebbles with water nearby. Citrus trees should be misted daily in an AC environment.
- Draft and Temperature: This plant does not do well with wide fluctuations in temperature. It will not do well near a drafty location (entryway or doorways) and or near an AC that blows on it.
